Designed for structural sound isolation, our high-density non woven damping felt is a heavyweight polyester mat (up to 2000 g/m²) that adds mass and decouples layers in floors, walls, and ceilings. Unlike standard acoustic felt, this grade is optimized for Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Impact Insulation Class (IIC) improvement. It can be easily cut with a utility knife to fit any floor plan, stud bay, or joist cavity. The material is compressible yet resilient, providing long-term stability under laminate, engineered wood, or beneath plasterboard. It contains no bitumen, rubber crumb, or harmful volatiles, making it a clean, odourless choice for interior builds. With a high NRC and excellent vibration damping, this felt mat is the hidden workhorse of effective soundproofing assemblies.

Footfall noise and airborne sound transfer through floors and walls are major complaints in multi-unit buildings.
