The 3mm–5mm thick polyester felt provides a soft, non-slip cushion that absorbs vibration and prevents scratches on hardwood, tile, and vinyl floors. With an NRC of 0.45–0.55 when used as a surface layer, it also contributes subtly to room acoustics by reducing furniture-generated noise. The felt is non-toxic, self-lubricating against smooth floors, and can be attached with pre-applied adhesive or mechanical tacks.
