Quieten the hollow cavity beneath your office’s raised access flooring with our acoustic underlay panels. This dense polyester felt can be cut to fit between pedestal supports, covering the structural subfloor to absorb footfall impact noise and equipment hum that resonates in the plenum. The material adds mass and damping without interfering with underfloor HVAC and cable management. It achieves an NRC of up to 0.90 and significantly improves the Impact Insulation Class (IIC) of the floor assembly. Lightweight, non-toxic, and moisture-resistant, it will not support mold growth in the floor void. Install it during new construction or retrofit by simply laying pre-cut panels between the pedestal grid. This often-overlooked treatment dramatically reduces the hollow drumming sound of footsteps and rolling chairs in large open-plan offices, creating a noticeably more solid and quiet floor experience.

Raised floors create an amplifying void that makes footsteps and dropped objects sound louder and travel further. Our underlay panels solve this by filling the cavity with a cuttable sound-damping material that absorbs both airborne and impact noise at the source, improving the overall acoustic comfort of the entire office floor.

The dense polyester felt absorbs the vibration of the raised floor panel, damping its resonance. Airborne sound within the plenum cavity is also absorbed by the felt’s porous structure, reducing the transmission path. The panels can be cut to precisely fit around floor boxes, grommets, and pedestal bases, ensuring continuous coverage and eliminating gaps.
